Connecting Students to a Bigger World
EBS is located just one block from UC Berkeley, and we are thrilled to have developed myriad relationships and partnerships with the university over the last 17 years. Virtually every day we find ourselves in UC Berkeley spaces and have the opportunity to welcome the university’s undergraduate and graduate students and researchers into our classrooms. Our program and culture have been greatly enlivened by our connections to UC Berkeley, and we look forward to deepening those relationships over the coming years.
By the time EBS students graduate, they will have spent countless hours in UC Berkeley libraries, museums, sports facilities, and classrooms. They will graduate knowing that they belong on a campus with some of the world’s greatest scholars, leaders, visionaries, creators, and innovators because they have already begun their journey toward developing into those things. At EBS, we recognize that spatial environments we move through in our lives play a profoundly important role in shaping our sense of who we are and who we can be, and we are intentional about bringing our students into spaces where their voices, perspectives, and contributions will be taken seriously.
Through our daily encounters with the UC Berkeley campus and community, our students have an opportunity to take inspiration from scholars, students, and athletes of great distinction and, crucially, to begin to envision what they hope to achieve over their time at EBS and what kind of world they want to have a role in building over the course of their lives.
