Athletics
EBS’s athletic program provides opportunities for both novice and skilled athletes. Every student who signs up for a team and attends practice will have a chance to play. Middle school is an ideal time for athletes to develop their physical skills, teamwork, self-discipline, sportsmanship, and commitment.
The school year is divided into three athletic seasons, affording many opportunities for involvement at all skill levels:
Fall (September - November): soccer, cross country
Winter (December - March): basketball
Spring (March - May): ultimate frisbee, pickleball
In addition to team sports, at various times athletic skill-building electives, such as basketball, Capoeira, Muay Thai, wrestling, and conditioning, are offered. Plus all students walk to and play supervised games in a UC Berkeley college gym most Fridays!
