EBSB Festival of Ideas: Courageous Design

EBSB's first annual Festival of Ideas will feature workshops, lectures, and conversations dedicated to the transformative power of design. This year’s event will include workshops with educator and activist Kate Schatz, author of the Rad Woman book series and co-author of Do the Work: An Anti-Racist Activity Book, and sculptor, muralist, and public artist Apexer, whose work has enlivened streetscapes around the Bay Area as well as institutional spaces like SFMOMA and the deYoung Museum.

The event will also feature lectures, panel discussions, and interactive sessions with EBSB teachers and students on a wide range of topics, encompassing everything from possibilities for redesigning the city block and techniques for cultivating a growth mindset to diversifying children’s literature and imagining new forms of government.

Join us for this exciting celebration of design thinking and of the transformative connections, inventions, and conversations EBSB’s design-centered program and culture make possible.
