Flexible Tuition
EBSB works hard to be one of the best independent school values in the East Bay, ensuring that our school is affordable to a wide range of families while maintaining a rich and varied educational program.
EBSB's tuition for the 2023-24 school year is $37,200. There are no additional charges for athletics, most field trips, or outdoor education. Our After School program, and the Nourish You hot lunch program are available at additional cost.
EBSB recognizes that the decision to send your child to an independent school is an important one, and wants that choice to be based on fit, rather than financial feasibility.
Flexible Tuition
Social, economic, and educational equity is at the heart of EBSB, and we believe that all families should be able to afford an EBSB education. In addition to multiple payment plan options, we provide a robust, needs-based Flexible Tuition program. For the 2023-24 school year, 64% of our families participated in our Flexible Tuition program, paying an amount of tuition that is meaningful to them.
Our Flexible Tuition applications will be available starting on October 1st, and are due February 1st. EBSB is proud to use the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application that includes assets, income, expenses, and debt.
