Families who send their children to the East Bay School for Boys have made education a priority and are committed to the school and to nurturing their boys.  Not only do they pay tuition but they also share their time and talents as volunteers.  
 
As at many independent schools, EBSB’s tuition and fees cover only a portion of the total cost of educating a student for one year.  We rely on donations and gifts from parents, grandparents, relatives and community benefactors to make up the difference in our operating budget.  At EBSB, these gifts go towards mission critical expenses, including teacher salaries, utilities, maintenance, tuition assistance, academic opportunities and sustainability.
 
Annual Fund: It’s Time for Boys
Goal: $50,000 and 100% Participation
 
The Annual Fund campaign is an opportunity to support EBSB immediately through a tax-deductible donation.  The Annual Fund helps us to keep our tuition low, and allows us to have a socio-economically diverse school.  Every independent school has a gap between operating expenses and tuition income.  The Annual Fund helps to bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the actual cost of educating our boys.  We rely on our community of parents, grandparents and friends to contribute to the Annual Fund.  
 
One of the goals of the Annual Fund is to have 100% participation from the Board of Trustees, staff, parents and boys.  This is important because it shows an investment in our school by those closest to it.  In addition, foundations, corporations and major donors care about the level of support that is shown for the school internally.  That is why we want all members of our community to contribute.  Any gift received, large or small, is greatly appreciated, and will be acknowledged with enthusiasm and gratitude.
